The device is short-circuit protected and the internal frequency compensation ensures stability without external components. The high common-mode input voltage range and the absence of latch-up make the amplifier ideal for voltage- follower applications. Chips may be mounted with conductive epoxy or a gold silicon preform. Thermal compression or ultrasonic bonding may be used on the doped-aluminum bonding pads. It can be operated as a single supply operational amplifier or dual supply amplifier depending on the application. The IC 741 is powered on when the supply is connected.
